This session is intended to be a good wind-down after a busy day. Group drumming has been clinically proven to reduce stress, blood pressure, and create a sense of belonging and community. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to try something new and fun. We will explore some call and answer drumming techniques, some multi-part rhythms, and perhaps some hand percussion (shakers, etc) as time allows. Let's groove, people!!
Jim has been the Band Director at BHS and JGMS since 2000. The BHS World Drumming program launched in 2003 with 13 students, and currently is at 4 sections, inclusive of approximately 80 students.
